This is a minor release of LogosLink Programmer's Interface.

New features

  • Text parsing now identifies URLs as a different kind of word.
  • A 'discard' token is now supported in text parsing.
  • XML and JSON file formats are now supported in corpora as source files.
  • Improved propagation of embedded datasets with finer control to optionally delete elements.
  • Size corpus analytics now provide results by collection.
  • Position adherence analytics now includes a polarisation metric.
  • Position adherence analytics now include a Theme parameter.

Plans for future releases

  • Finer control when propagating embedded models.

  • Deleting a referenced item in a corpus would sometimes produce an error.
  • Importing a package containing a partial corpus would create broken references.
  • Speaker-count weighted corpus-level position adherence analytics would produce incorrect results in some situations.
  • Various additional minor fixes and improvements.

New features

  • Context coverage analytics now include details on the linked dataset elements for each context element.
  • Position adherence analytics now accept parameters to use proposition cogency and argumentation load when calculating adherence.
  • Position adherence analytics now accept a parameter to weight adherence according to speaker count.
  • New position reasoning analytics to obtain detailed information on how each position is supported or opposed in argumentation and agency models.
  • Parallelised and improved performance for many analytics and propagation of dependent models.
  • Corpora now have a property to specify how files for stand-alone dependent models are named.
  • Finer control over propagation of dependent models when creating new corpus-dependent models.

Fixed issues

  • Splitting a locution yielding an initial fragment that occurs multiple times in the text would assign the wrong text range.

  • Fully rewritten on top of .NET Core.
  • New packages for context and agency analysis.
  • Much improved Common package, including support for bookmarking and commenting dataset elements for better collaborative work.
  • Multiple new analysers for corpus, context, ontology, argumentation and agency analysis.

Other changes

  • The dataset file formats in LogosLink Programmer's Interface version 2.2.0 are different to those of previous versions. You will need to convert files created with previous versions before you can use them with the new one. Please refer to the VersionConvert application page for details on how to do this.
