Release History

This page shows a list of releases of IAT/ML, together with new features and fixed issues for each one. Plans for future releases are also described.

Latest release: version 1.2.0

This is a minor release. Changes include:

  • Specific guidance has been added in relation to the connections between ontology, argumentation and agency model elements and the themes, positions and agents in the associated context.
  • The IAT/ML Standard Question Set for agency analysis is now provided as a LogosLink 2 question set file.
  • The Context and Agency components are now fully described in the IAT/ML Technical Specification.
  • A new process, Documentation, has been added to the Results phase.
  • Additional details on counterfactual argumentation.
  • Improved guidance on reported speech.
  • Numerous minor corrections and improvements for clarity and completeness.
  • A new document, IAT/ML Theoretical Underpinnings, has been added, pending to be completed.

Plans for future releases

  • Theoretical improvements to EMDA and BDI.
  • Improved and expanded catalogue of rhetorical strategies.

This was a maintenance release. Changes include:

  • The Initiation phase has been extended with issues analysis.
  • Diagnosis and action planning (Results phase) have been further validated and their documentation improved.
  • Agency analysis guidelines have been clarified and extended.
  • More detail is now provided for the treatment of verbs and adverbs under ontology analysis.

This was a maintenance release. Changes include:

  • The overall workflow of the methodology is explained and illustrated.
  • A Results phase has been explicitly added and described to the methodology.
  • BDI (beliefs, desires and intentions) aspects have been fleshed out for each question in the standard question set.
  • Some issues about the connections between IAT/ML and artificial intelligence are now mentioned.
