Balance Analytics (Context)
Balance analytics measures how balanced the different themes are within a context in terms of their sub-themes, positions and agents.
This is useful to determine whether the context is well balanced or requires adjustments to cover all themes equally.

Results
Results are given as a number of charts.
Theme Aspects
This chart shows the balance of each theme in the context for each of its three aspects: sub-themes, positions and agents.
A value of 0 means that the theme contains a perfectly average number of sub-themes, positions or agents.
Negative values indicate that the theme contains fewer sub-themes, positions or agents than the average.
Values above zero indicate that the theme contains more sub-themes, positions or agents than the average.
This chart is useful to find themes that are abnormally poor or rich in sub-themes, positions or agents, and how much.
Theme Overall
This chart shows the overall balance of each theme in the context.
The overall balance of each theme is an aggregation of the sub-theme, position and agent balances shown in the Theme Aspects chart.
A value of 0 means that the theme contains a perfectly average number of sub-themes, positions and agents.
Larger values mean that the theme deviates from the average.
An "Overall" item is also included, which shows the overall balance for the whole context across all themes.
This chart is useful to find themes that are abnormally poor or rich in contained elements, and how much.
Aspect Overall
This chart shows the overall balance across all themes in the context for each aspect: sub-themes, positions and agents.
The overall balance for each aspect is an aggregation of all the theme balances shown in the Theme Aspects chart.
A value of 0 means that the aspect is perfectly balanced across themes.
Larger values mean that the aspect deviates from the average.
An "Overall" item is also included, which shows the overall balance for the whole context across all aspects.
This chart is useful to find aspects that are imbalanced in the context, and how much.
Details
The balance for each theme and aspect is calculated as the standard score (Z-score) , that is, the number of standard deviations away from the mean for that theme and aspect.
Aggregated balances per theme or aspect are calculated as the average of the absolute values of specific balances.
Absolute values are used to provide a better indication of deviation while avoiding the risk that positive and negative balances cancel each other.
