Ignore Text
Ignore text is text in a corpus document or in an ontology, argumentation model or agency model that is ignored by LogosLink when parsing and processing.
You use text markup to indicate what text should be ignored.
Details
Sometimes, the content of the texts that we work with contain segments that are not relevant for analysis, such as codes or comments introduced by the analyst.
You can leave that text in the document but mark it up so that it is ignored by LogosLink when parsing and processing text.
If you mark up a section of text to be ignored, it will not be taken into account when segmenting the text into sentences, words and characters, or when calculating text statistics.
Similarly, it will not be considered when carrying out analytics that involve the text contents.
The ignore text delimiters are [< and >].
To mark up a section of text to be ignored, simply enclose it in the text delimiters.
For example,
[< INTERVIEW BEGINS HERE >]
Alice: Good morning.
Bob: Good morning to you.
Here, the "INTERVIEW BEGINS HERE" comment has been marked up to be ignored.
