Agency Model
An agency model is a dataset containing a conceptual representation of the beliefs, desires and intentions of the speakers in the form of responses to pre-defined questions.
Agency models are expressed in terms of IAT/ML, and consist of a collection of elements plus relationships between them.
Details
An agency model describes responses to pre-defined questions.
Each response addresses a question that is part of the embedded question set.
An agency model may contain an embedded context, ontology and argumentation model.
Also, an agency model always contains an embedded question set.
Types of agency models
Agency models can be:
-
Independent.
That is, you can create and work with an agency model stored in a file if you want to analyse a single text.
Agency model files have a .lly extension.
-
Dependent:
-
Stand-alone.
This is the case of an agency model for a document in a corpus.
These agency models are stored as individual files in the corpus directory.
Do not rename or move these files, as the corpus keeps references to them.
