LogosLink User's Manual · LogosLink version 2.0.0.2

Set Up

This is a brief guide on how to install and configure LogosLink version 2.0.0.2. You can download the LogosLink and release notes from the downloads web page .

Before you download and install LogosLink, please read through our terms of use and make sure you agree to them.

Requirements

LogosLink is a collection of executable and library files that run on Microsoft Windows. They have been developed and tested on Windows 11. It may work on older versions of Windows, but we can't guarantee it. You may also be able to run LogosLink on non-Windows platforms, but we haven't tested this.

LogosLink has been developed on top of the Microsoft .NET Core platform , and therefore it needs Microsoft .NET Core to operate. Your Windows computer probably has .NET Core already installed. In any case, the set up program (see below) will check for this, and will ask you to download and install it if not present.

What's included

When you install LogosLink, two applications are set up on your computer:

  • LogosLink Desktop, the main LogosLink application to create and work with corpora and models.
  • LogosLink VersionConvert, an auxiliary application to convert files from the previous LogosLink version to the new one.

Please see the Appplications section for details.

Set up process

The set up process is very simple:

  1. Download the installable package from the downloads web page , and place it on your desktop or another folder.
  2. Unzip the package and extract the contents to your desktop or another folder.
  3. Double-click on the LogosLink2SetUp.exe program and follow the instructions.
  4. Itis possible that the installation program asks you to download and install Microsoft .NET if it is not already installed on your computer. If this happens, please follow the instructions to download and install Microsoft .NET. Once you have done it, the LogosLink Desktop installation can finish.
  5. Find the LogosLink Desktop application in your Start menu, and launch it.

Please note that, if you have corpora or files created with the previous version of LogosLink, you will need to convert them by using LogosLink VersionConvert before you can use them with LogosLink version 2.0.0.2. Please see How To Convert Versions for details.

If you find issues while downloading or installing LogosLink, please let us know. Your comments are very useful to us, and help us make LogosLink easier to set up and use.
