Create an Independent Agency Model from a Text

An agency model can reside in an independent file on a computer.

Follow these steps to create a new independent agency model:

  1. Open LogosLink Desktop.
  2. If no dataset is open, click on Agency Model in the Home ribbon tab. Alternatively, open the backstage and click on New, Agency Model. A dialog box will be shown.
  3. Type in a name for the agency model.
  4. Give the agency model a description, if you wish. You can always edit this later on.
  5. Enter the text content of the agency model. You can change the text content later on.
  6. LogosLink Desktop will guess the language as soon as you leave the Content field. You can also select a language by hand.
  7. Click OK to create the agency model. LogosLink Desktop shows a blank Agency Model window for the newly created agency model. This agency model is not saved yet, so it only exists in memory and not on a file.
  8. Save the agency model to a file by clicking the Save button on the Home ribbon tab. A Save Agency Model As dialog box appears.
  9. Select the directory where you want to save the agency model, and give it a name.
  10. Click OK to save it. LogosLink Desktop saves it.

The agency model is created with a blank question set. You can edit the embedded question set by clicking the Edit Question Set in the Home ribbon tab. You can add elements manually or just merge another question set into it.
